On one fine morning, Past District Governors of Lions District 316 B have visited our hospital and made a proposal of running Lions Eye Hospital, Jaggampeta, which was their district project. The hospital was not being run properly to their expectations and therefore they approached us for taking over their hospital on lease basis and to run it to cater the needs of vast area surrounding that hospital. Realizing the unfilled need of eye care services, we decided to take it over and run the same as per the quality standards that we implement at our base hospital at Nidadavole.
When approached for the clearance from LV Prasad Eye Institute, they gave the consent stating that all the quality norms followed at Nidadavole should be invariably followed. We then took it over and made all required changes to the infrastructure,added all required equipment and recruited necessary staff so that it is at par with our base hospital in the treatment of stated eye diseases that are handled in a secondary care eye center.
On 4th November,2023, the center was inaugurated by the district governors of Lions District 316 B and 316 G as our satellite center and functional for eye care services since then. It is gradually progressing in terms of patient load and now this campus is empanelled with NTR Vaidya seva Trust, under NTR Arogyasri Scheme of Government of Andhra Pradesh for providing high quality eye care.
